Holidays in Ink Challenge 2023

In November, I joined the Holidays in Ink Challenge, started by Jamie Williams Grossman

.Hudson Valley Sketches - : Get Ready for Holidays in Ink (plus other media) 2022-23!  It went from November 21 to January 6, and I have enjoyed it so much that I will probably keep going for a while yet.   I've posted some of my pages here:

Waiting for Spring

Waiting for Spring, watching outside for any sign of growing things, in the meantime I sketched some of the plants growing in my kitchen.

Paint Tubes

This is a sketch that I did as a "demo" for my virtual watercolor class.  I tried to get the tubes to look like they have been bent and squeezed.  I hope my class has fun with this.

Virtual Hiking and Sketching Again

Back last year, when I was virtually walking the Camino, I sketched the "scenery" that I would see if I were walking it in real life.  I continued to walk but gave up on the sketching at about mile 124.  I didn't choose a new trail when the Camino ended, and forgot about the program (Walk4Fun), but it didn't forget about me.  It chose a new trail for me - The Long Trail in Vermont, and has been recording my steps/miles from my Fitbit.  Isn't technology wonderful?  And scary too, since it was doing this without my knowledge.  Anyway, since I am still walking regularly any way, I decided to stay on the trail and to sketch occasionally.  Here is my sketch from today's "hike".  In real life I walked around my normal neighborhood loop.
