Art Journaling Online Workshop

This month I've been taking an online art journaling workshop.  It's about working in layers, and we've prepared pages with washes, salt, alcohol, etc.  We've added rectangles with watercolor pencil, and we've added writing and lettering.  Quite a bit different than what I usually do in my sketchbooks (I think mine are usually more sketchbooks than journals).

  1. Nice journal pages! I like the saying on the last one. lol I didn't get inspired enough with the workshop to do anything.

  2. I think the pages are wonderful, Michelle!! This workshop sounds like it would have been a great one for me. At least I'd have found a start to sketching and journaling. I've read a great book and still, I begin, see the mess I've made, and quit until I get inspired enough to try again. Inspiration doesn't make an appearance often, however.

  3. I hear ya, Crimson Leaves. I usually default to just a simple sketch, but it's fun to see what other people do and get ideas so I can do something a little different once in a while. I like prepainting the page, but I'm not sure about the rectangles, etc. And I could use a workshop on lettering.
